Adventures at the park

We are taking advantage of the lovely weather and spent a couple of hours (yes I said a couple, as in 2) at the park today. Most of the parks around my house have the new rubberized floor stuff but I have recently discovered an older park nearby (within a 2 minute drive) that has sand. Alyssa got some new buckets and shovels, so off we went. She had a blast and I had a hard time getting her to leave the park (as usual). But at least at this park she does something other than swing for an hour. She went down the slide, played in the yellow tube thing, swung, and played in the sand. She even played so long in the sand that I got a break from always having to stand right next to her or play right next to her. Eventually, after much cajoling, we left the park and she fell asleep on the way home...mind you we are only a 2 minute drive from the park, so I was shocked that she had fallen asleep so fast without even having her lunch. I meant to take my real camera with me today but as usual I forgot. At least I had my phone to take a few picts with.

Oh to be a kid again and play in the park for hours! Sounds like you are enjoying being home with her. How are you feeling?

I'm feeling better these past couple of days since Alyssa has been sleeping through the night and napping in the day. I'm able to finally get some rest!
