Just call us Farmer Bayardos

We've decided it would be a fun family project to grow some of our own fruit and veggies this summer. So we picked up some seeds (watermelon, squash, tomatoes) and began the process of germinating them. Man, I haven't done this since the 5th grade! We have no idea what we are doing but we figure there is no harm in trying. Plus, Alyssa really had fun putting the "dirt" into the cups with daddy. We finally bought some fruit trees to put in our backyard also. We have been wanting to do that since we bought this house a year ago. So hopefully by the time the kids are in late elementary/early middle school years we will have some fruit from our trees. Yeah:)
Helping daddy put the seeds in.

Easily distracted by the bird that just flew by the window...A Birdie!!

**Disclaimer: Our ongoing project of staining our cabinets has been picked up again...thus the lack of cabinet doors in the background:)

Ha! Love the disclaimer. What a fun project. Let me know how it turns out and whether your fruit trees survive. I can't get nothing to grow in our backyard - partly due to bored dogs!

Love the disclaimer! I hope your farming project works out. Is there a family discount? :-) I can't believe how grown up Alyssa is looking these days. She's so cute.

Ha ha I was going to comment on the fact that you still have no cabinet doors! But then I saw the disclaimer. :) Looks like you're having fun!
